The Paramounts were an English beat group, based in Southend. They had one hit single with their cover version of "Poison Ivy", which reached #35 on the UK Singles Chart in 1964. After the Paramounts split up, Gary Brooker (vocals) founded Procol Harum. Lead guitarist Robin Trower and drummer B.J. Wilson soon joined Brooker. Eventually bassist Chris Copping also joined Procol Harum, playing both bass guitar and organ. They were signed to Parlophone in late 1963 and made their debut with "Poison Ivy", recorded with record producer, Ron Richards.01 - Poison Ivy02 - I Feel Good All Over03 - Little Bitty Pretty One04 - Certain Girl05 - I'm The One Who Loves You06 - It Won't Be Long07 - Bad Blood08 - Do I09 - Blue Ribbons10 - Cuttin' In11 - You Never Had It So Good12 - Doncha Like My Love13 - Draw Me Closer14 - Turn On Your Lovelight15 - You've Got What I Want16 - FreedomLINK |
