The Bee Gees are a musical group that was originally made up of a singing trio of brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. The trio were successful for most of their forty years of recording music, but they had two distinct periods of exceptional success: as a harmonic "soft rock" act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and as the foremost stars of the disco music era in the late 1970s. From the Bee Gees' Australian Era, the definitive collection was Brilliant from Birth, early & extremely rare recordings, including 'The Battle Of The Blue And The Grey', 'Spicks & Specks' and a cover of the Beatles' 'Ticket To Ride', released only in Australia, rare until the CD era. Ritchie Valens was an American singer, songwriter and guitarist. A rock and roll pioneer and a forefather of the Chicano rock movement, Valens' recording career lasted only eight months. During this time, however, he scored several hits, most notably "La Bamba", which was originally a Mexican folk song that Valens transformed with a rock rhythm and beat that became a hit in 1958, making Valens a pioneer of the Spanish-speaking rock and roll movement. On February 3, 1959, on what has become known as The Day the Music Died, Valens was killed in a small-plane crash in Iowa, a tragedy that also claimed the lives of fellow musicians Buddy Holly and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson. 01 - Come On Let's Go 02 - La Bamba 03 - That's My Little Suzie 04 - Boney Maronie 05 - Ooh! Johnny and the Hurricanes was a rock and roll band that began as The Orbits in Toledo, Ohio in 1957. Led by saxophonist Johnny Paris, they were school friends who played on a few recordings behind Mack Vickery, a local rockabilly singer. They signed with Harry Balk and Irving Micahnik of Twirl Records, which led to national engagements in 1959. Johnny and the Hurricanes recorded "Crossfire" in a vacant cinema to provide echo. That became a nationwide U.S. hit, and ranked No. 23 in the U.S. chart in the summer of 1959. The band developed a following in Europe. In 1962, they played at the Star-Club in Hamburg, where The Beatles, then a little-known band, served as an opening act. Johnny and the Hurricanes cut records until 1965. Johnny continued to tour with the Hurricanes in Europe and United States until his death in 2006. 01 - Red River Rock 02 - Buckeye 03 - Crossfire 04 - Reveille Rock 05 - Cyclone 06 - Rockin 'T' 07 - The Beatnick Fly 08 - Rocking Goose 09 - Kaw - Liga 10 - You Are My Sunshine 11 - San Antonio Rose 12 - Down Yonder 13 - Revival 14 - Bye Bye Blackbird 15 - Corn Bread 16 - Happy Time 17 - Thunderbolt 18 - Joy Ride 19 - Ja da 20 - The Sheik Of Araby 21 - Molly - O 22 - Traffic Jam 23 - Walkin' With Mr. Lee 24 - Rock - A - Long 25 - The Kid 26 - Sanstorm 27 - Like Rock 28 - Time To Rock 29 - High Voltage 30 - Sheba 31 - Old Smokie 32 - Ten Little Indian 33 - After Midnight 34 - Teensville Tonight LINK

Climax Blues Band (originally known as the Climax Chicago Blues Band) was formed in Stafford, England in 1968. The original members were guitarists Peter Haycock and Derek Holt; keyboardist Arthur Wood; bassist Richard Jones; drummer George Newsome; and vocalist and harmonica player, Colin Cooper. The band has released at least seventeen albums and had a Top 10 hit in the UK with "Couldn't Get It Right". That song and "I Love You" were American hits as well; "Couldn't Get It Right" reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1977, and "I Love You" peaked at #12 in 1981. After Wood's exit in the wake of 1972's Rich Man, they continued on as a quartet, also dropping the "Chicago" portion of their name to avoid confusion with the American band of a similar name. 01 - Richman 02 - Mole on the Dole 03 - You Make Me Sick 04 - Standing by a River 05 - Shake Your Love 06 - All the Time in the World 07 - If You Wanna Know 08 - Don't You Mind People Grinning in Your... The Free Design were a Delevan, New York based vocal group playing jazzy pop music. Their music can be described as sunshine pop and baroque pop, which were pop music subgenres at the time, which later influenced the bands Stereolab, Cornelius, Pizzicato Five, Beck and The High Llamas. The members were all members of the Dedrick family: Chris Dedrick (who wrote most of the songs), sister Sandy and brother Bruce were the original lineup. Younger sister Ellen joined the group later, and youngest sister Stefanie joined near the end of their initial career. Their father, Art, was a trombonist and music arranger. Their uncle Rusty Dedrick was a jazz trumpeter with Claude Thornhill and Red Norvo. They formed the band while living in New York City. Chris has said the group was influenced by vocal groups like The Hi-Los (who performed in Greenwich Village frequently at the time) along with Peter, Paul and Mary and the counterpoint experiments of Benjamin Britten. Their trademark sound involved complex harmonies, jazz-like chord progressions, and off-beat time signatures, all products of Chris's classical training. The band released seven albums from 1967 to 1972, the first six on Enoch Light's Project 3 label and the last one, There is a Song, on the Ambrotype label. For the most part, they were accompanied on the albums by studio musicians. Heaven/Earth is the third album, released in 1969. The band was dissolved in 1972. 01 - My Very Own Angel 02 - Now Is the Time 03 - If I Were a Carpenter 04 - You Be You and I'll Be Me 05 - Girls Alone 06 - 2002 - A Hit Song 07 - Summertime 08 - Where Do I Go 09 - Hurry Sundown 10 - Memories 11 - Dorian Benediction LINK

Recently was a 1987 album. At the time of its release, it was the performer's first album of new material issued in the U.S. in eight years. As she had done during the 1960s for Bob Dylan, Tim Hardin and Richard Farina, Baez lent her voice to the songwriters of the day, in this case Mark Knopfler, U2 and Peter Gabriel, and found herself straddling a line between attempting to further connect with young audiences (who first became acquainted with her through her appearances at Live Aid and Amnesty International's A Conspiracy of Hope Tour), while reintroducing herself to her established listeners, after such a long absence. 01 - Brothers In Arms 02 - Recently 03 - Asimbonanga 04 - The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress 05 - James & The Gang 06 - Let Us Break Bread TogetherFreedom 07 - MLK 08 - Do Right Woman, Do Right Man 09 - Biko LINK
