1:56 AM Chariot - 1968 - Chariot |

This obscure bluesy-hard rock trio from 1970, Larry Gould / vocals, bass, Michael Kaplan / guitar, vocals and Pug Baker / drums, sounds like a rockier version of "Three Dog Night” with lots of "Creedence Clearwater Revival” and "Big Brother And The Holding Company” thrown in. Chariot, which evolved out of a ‘60s outfit called The Knack, are often described as a Cream-influenced blues/psych trio, although to many ears their sound exhibits more than a hint of a classic flower power groove, with some decidedly progressive touches.01 - Yolanda Jones02 - You Let Me Love You03 - Gamblin' Man04 - The War Is Over05 - Home Wreckin' Mama06 - Hey People07 - Variety Woman08 - Got To Be A Lover09 - Poor Man BluesLINK |
