Pretties for You was the debut album by Alice Cooper. At this time, the name Alice Cooper referred to the band, not its lead singer, though the lead singer was known as Alice Cooper. The music has a psychedelic flavor to it. The group had yet to develop the more concise hard rock sound that they would become known for. Most of the tracks from the album have a distinct loud and dynamic rock sound. However, very few songs have had some sort of hard rock quality. For example, the spacey hard rock song "Fields of Regret", the bluesy "Sing Low, Sweet Cheerio", and a song that sounds a lot like Alice Cooper's music later on with the band, a live version of "Levity Ball".
