The Peppermint Trolley Company - 1968 - Beautiful Sun

The Peppermint Trolley Company was an American band of the sunshine pop genre, credited with singing the Brady Bunch theme song in the show's first season. While the instrumental music track was indeed performed by the Peppermint Trolley Company, the vocals were actually sung by studio singers Paul Parish, John Beland and Lois Fletcher. Formed in Redlands, California in 1967, Peppermint Trolley Company released one album and five singles on the Acta label. The original line-up included Jimmy Faragher (vocals, bass, guitar), Danny Faragher (vocals, keyboards), Casey Cunningham (drums) and Greg Tornquist (guitar, vocals). In 1969, Danny, Jimmy, Casey and Greg left their contract with Acta to form the rock/soul group Bones. Acta continued to release records under the Peppermint Trolley Company name with a replacement group that featured Bob Cheevers.
