The Beatles - 1963-68 - Garage Tapes (Auction Tapes)

These tapes, with horrid recording quality, were found by biographer Gerry Marsh in the possession of an ex-chauffer to the Beatles, Alf Bicknell who received them from John. Bicknell put the tapes into a Sotheby's auction of rock 'n' roll memorabilia. They were expected to raise £60,000, but in the event only two of them sold. A bidder in West Germany paying almost £12,000.
