Faster Pussycat - 1989 - Wake Me When It's Over
Faster Pussycat is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles, California formed in 1986. The group was most successful during the late 1980s with their self-titled debut album and their 1989 gold album Wake Me When It's Over. Although is often labeled as glam metal, their early sound drew heavy influence from the New York Dolls and early Aerosmith. Wake Me When It's Over is Faster Pussycat's second album, moving from the glam rock sound of their first album to a blues-influenced sound. After the recording of this album, drummer Mark Michals was fired because of heroin possession, and drummer Frankie Banali was hired for a concert tour. Banali was replaced after the tour by Brett Bradshaw. Music videos were produced for "Poison Ivy" and "House of Pain". "House of Pain" reached #28 in the Billboard Hot 100 and the video was in rotation on MTV. The album itself peaked at #48 in the Billboard 200. 01 - Where There's A Whip There's A Way 02 - Little Dove 03 - Poison Ivy 04 - House Of Pain 05 - Gonna Walk 06 - Pulling Weeds 07 - Slip Of The Tongue 08 - Cryin' Shame 09 - Tattoo 10 - Ain't No Way Around It 11 - Arizona Indian Doll 12 - Please Dear LINK
