Dead Kennedys are an American punk rock band, formed in San Francisco, California in 1978. Pioneers of hardcore during the 1980s, the band gained a large underground following in the international punk music scene. Their music mixed the more experimental elements of British 1970s punk with the raw energy of the 1980s American hardcore punk scene. Dead Kennedys' songs mixed deliberately shocking lyrics with satirical and sarcastic criticism of social and political issues of the Reagan era. A Skateboard Party is a live album and was released in August 1983 on Starving Missile Records in cooperation with Alternative Tentacles as a limited edition release. The concerts took place in Stuttgart and Munich, on September 13, 1982, and September 15, 1982, respectively. 01 - Holiday In Cambodia 02 - Let's Lynch The Landlord 03 - Chemical Warfare 04 - Nazi Punks Fuck Off 05 - We've Got A Bigger Problem Now 06 - Too Trunk To Fuck 07 - Kill The Poor 08 - Man With A Dog 09 - Forward To Death 10 - Kepone Factory 11 - Life Sentence 12 - Trust Your Mechanic 13 - Moral Majority 14 - Forest Fire 15 - Winnebago Warrior 16 - Police Jerk 17 - Bleed For Me LINK
Dead Kennedys - 1983 - Plastic Surgery Disaster
Plastic Surgery Disasters is the second album released by the Dead Kennedys. It has been reissued with the EP In God We Trust, Inc., which are the last eight tracks on the CD. The cover photo is "Hands" by photographer Michael Wells. Musically, many different elements bubble to the surface on Plastic Surgery Disasters, including surf-rock, oddly psychedelic guitar textures, and traditional film music, including sections and guitar fills that resemble Ennio Morricone spaghetti western scores. 01 - Government Flu 02 - Terminal Preppie 03 - Trust Your Mechanic 04 - Well Paid Scientist 05 - Buzzbomb 06 - Forest Fire 07 - Halloween 08 - Winnebego Warrior 09 - Riot 10 - Bleed For Me 11 - I Am The Owl 12 - Dead End 13 - Moon Over Marin LINK
