India was one of the three songs that Yoko Ono had left the other Beatles after Lennon died (the other two were Real Love and Free as a Bird) Harrison did not want to include it in the Anthology, but appeared as a bootleg.01 India (John´s Demo)02 Dera Dun (At Friar Park Anthology Sessions 1994)03 Speech; John04 What´s The New Marry Jane05 Dear Prudence (White Album Sessions 28th August 1968)06 Frenzy And Distortion07 Another Hard Day´s Night (Mono)08 The Inner Light (Mono)09 Tomorrow Never Knows (Mono)10 The Chase (Mono)11 Love You Too (Mono)LINK

When Ringo Starr collapsed from tonsillitis early on jure 3, 1964, the day before The Beatles were to embark on the first leg of their summer world tour, Beatles manager Brian Epstein quickly decided to bring in a substitute drummer and continue with the tour (over George Harrison's objections). Producer George Martin suggested 24-year-old Cockney drummer Jimmy Nicol, who had played on a recent Georgie Fame and his Blue Flames session and also had played on a soundalike album of Beatles hits. Nicol auditioned rehearsed for a couple of hours that afternoon at Abbey Road with the other three Beatles and was hired. After arriving the next day in Copenhagen, where more rehearsals were held. Nicol debued with the band in concert that night From all reports, he was a fine fill-in on the drums, and while Nicol was self-conscious about not having much of a Beatle fringe (he used lotion to try to stimulate its growth while on tour with the group) the other Beatles included him in all of the group's public appearances and press conferences. After Copenhagen, Nicol played with The Beatles in Holland, Hong Kong and on the first four shows of the Australian tour, in Adelaide. When the band was rejoined by Starr in Melbourne, a historic five-Beatle press conference was held and then Nicol was sent home. (A poignant photo shows him sitting alone in the airport lounge waiting for his flight - just hours after he was part of some of the largest crowd scenes ever in Australia.)Tracks 3-8 & 18: Recorded Live at the Cafe-Restaurant Treslong, Hillegom, Holland.(Vara TV), 5.6.64. The first popular Beatles bootleg was Kum Back, available around September 1969 in a plain white sleeve with no mention of a record company; the vinyl bootleg was based on an acetate of one of the early rough mixes by Glyn Johns of the Get Back album (which would later become Let It Be). John Lennon may have been the unintentional source for one of the Get Back bootlegs; Lennon said: "They say it came from an acetate that I gave to someone who then went and broadcast it as being an advance pressing or something."01 - Get Back02 - The Walk03 - Let It Be04 - Teddy Boy05 - Two Of Us06 - Don't Let Me Down07 - I've Got A Feeling08 - The Long And Winding Road09 - For You Blue10 - Dig A Pony11 - Get Back RepriseLINK

The Beatles - 1962-1966 - Red Album 1962–1966 (widely known as The Red Album) is a compilation of The Beatles' greatest hits from 1962 to 1966. It was released with its counterpart 1967–1970 (The Blue Album), a compilation of their greatest hits from 1967 to 1970. 1962–1966 reached #3 in the UK and managed to reach #1 in the U.S. Cashbox albums chart. However, in the U.S. the official chart was administered by Billboard, where 1962–1966 peaked at #3, while 1967–1970 managed to meet the summit. This album was re-released in September 1993 charting at #3 in the UK. The album was compiled by Beatles manager Allen Klein, with his selections approved by the Beatles themselves. Even though the group had had success with cover versions of songs, most notably with "Twist and Shout", which made #2 on the Billboard charts, only songs composed by The Beatles themselves were included. It is recognised as the first Beatles compilation since their breakup on 31 December 1970. Both it and 1967–1970 were produced by Apple/EMI at least partially in response to a bootleg compilation titled Alpha Omega, which had been sold on television the previous year.Disc 101 - Love Me Do02 - Please Please Me03 - From Me To You04 - She Loves You05 - I Want To Hold Your Hand06 - All My Loving07 - Can't Buy Me Love08 - A Hard Day's Night09 - And I Love Her10 - Eight Days A Week11 - I Feel Fine12 - Ticket To Ride13 - YesterdayDisc 201 - Help02 - You've Got To Hide Your Love A03 - We Can Work It Out04 - Day Tripper05 - Drive My Car06 - Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has07 - Nowhere Man08 - Michelle09 - In My Life10 - Girl11 - Paperback Writer12 - Eleanor Rigby13 - Yellow SubmarineLINK The Beatles - 1967-1970 - Blue Album Disc 101 - Strawberry Fields Forever02 - Pennylane03 - Sgt. The Beatles - 1957 - 1960 - Quarrymen The Quarrymen (sometimes written "Quarry Men") are a British skiffle band, initially formed in Liverpool in 1956, who evolved over a four-year period into The Beatles. Originally consisting of John Lennon and several schoolfriends, The Quarrymen took their name from Quarry Bank High school which Lennon and most of the other band members attended. Lennon's mother, Julia Lennon, taught her son to play the banjo and then showed Lennon and Eric Griffiths how to tune their guitars in the same way as the banjo, and taught them simple chords and songs. Lennon started a band that initially called themselves The Blackjacks. Finding out that another group had the same name, Pete Shotton suggested renaming themselves The Quarrymen, based on a word in the Quarry Bank school's song. The Quarrymen played at parties, school dances, a cinema and amateur skiffle contests before Paul McCartney joined the band. George Harrison only joined the band at McCartney's insistence, as Lennon thought Harrison to be far too young. They made an amateur recording of themselves in 1958, performing Buddy Holly's "That'll Be the Day" and "In Spite of All the Danger" - a song written by McCartney and Harrison). In early 1960, the group started experimenting with alternative names. After Lennon recruited his art school pal Stuart Sutcliffe to the band, they changed their name to The Silver Beetles, before finally settling on The Beatles in August 1960 when they first performed in Hamburg. In 1999 four original members of the group reformed as "John Lennon's Original Quarrymen".01 - Putting On The Style [live]02 - That'll Be The Day03 - In Spite Of All The Danger04 - I'll Always Be In Love With You [Home-Tape]05 - Unknown06 - Some Days [Home-Tape]07 - I Don't Need No Ciggarette, Boy [Home-Tape]08 - One After 909 [Home-Tape]09 - One After 909 [Home-Tape]10 - Cayenne [Home-Tape]11 - Hallelujah! The Beatles - 1962 - Red Hot These tapes were recorded sometime in December 1962 by Adrian Barber, a former member of Liverpool group The Big Three, who was employed as stage manager at the Star Club. Barber was an electronics enthusiast who had built amplifiers for his own group as well as other bands. It was he who built the famous `coffin' speaker cabinet used by Paul McCartney in the early days. He also built an extremely sophisticated PA system for the Star Club, with two columns on either side of the stage containing twenry-five 10 inch speakers each, all powered by a 200 watt Telefunken amplifier. The Star Club also boasted an in-house set of powerful Fender guitar amplifiers, which were used by The Beatles in addition to other acts. Barber recorded these tapes on a Grundig recorder running at a speed of 3.75 inches per second, or twice the speed of a compact cassette. The purpose of the recordings was to evaluate the PA system which Barber was constantly tweaking. Contrary to popular myth, they were not recorded in a careless or haphazard fashion.01 - It's Now A Quarter To Twelve02 - Hippy Hippy Shake03 - Be-Bop-A-Lula04 - Chat05 - I Saw Her Standing There06 - Chat07 - Hallelujah I Love Her So08 - Red Hot (Incomplete)09 - Sheila10 - Chat11 - Kansas City, hey Hey Hey Hey12 - Chat13 - Shimmy Like Kate14 - Chat15 - Reminiscing16 - Chat17 - Red Sails In The Sunset18 - Chat19 - Sweet Little Sixteen20 - Chat21 - Roll Over Beethoven22 - Chat23 - A Taste Of Honey (Incomplete)24 - Nothin' Shakin' (But The Leaves On The Trees)25 - Chat26 - I Saw Her Standing There27 - Chat28 - To Know Her Is To Love Her29 - Chat30 - Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby31 - Chat32 - Till There Was You33 - Chat34 - Where Have You Been All My Life35 - Chat36 - Lend Me Your Comb37 - Chat38 - Your Feet's Too Big39 - I'm Talking About You40 - Chat41 - A Taste Of Honey42 - Chat43 - Matchbox44 - Chat45 - Little Queenie46 - Chat47 - Roll Over Beethoven48 - GoodnightLINK The Beatles - 1962 - Three-Thirty Blues This disc continues where Red Hot left off, gathering together the remaining performances of The Beatles at the Star Club in Hamburg in December 1962.01 - Falling In Love Again02 - Twist And Shout (Incomplete)03 - I'm Talking About You04 - Ask Me Why05 - I Remember You (Incomplete)06 - Besame Mucho07 - Long Tall Sally08 - Mr Moonlight09 - I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Cry (Over You)10 - Chat11 - Road Runner (Warm-Up)12 - Chat13 - A Taste Of Honey14 - Money (Tony Sheridan)15 - Sparkling Brown Eyes (King Size Taylor & The Dominos)16 - Lovesick Blues (King Size Taylor & The Dominos)17 - First Taste Of Love (King Size Taylor & The Dominos)18 - Dizzy Miss Lizzy (King Size Taylor & The Dominos)19 - Hully Gully (Cliff Bennet & The Rebel Rousers)LINK

The Beatles is the ninth official British album and the fifteenth American album by The Beatles, a double album released in 1968. It is commonly known as The White Album as it has no graphics or text other than the band's name (and, on the early LP and CD releases, a serial number) on its plain white sleeve. The album was the first the Beatles undertook following the death of their manager, Brian Epstein, and the first released by their own record label, Apple. Originally entitled A Doll's House, the title was changed when the British progressive rock band Family released the similarly titled Music in a Doll's House earlier that year. The Beatles was written and recorded during a period of turmoil for the group. After visiting the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in India and having a particularly productive songwriting session in early 1968, the group returned to the studio for recording from May to October 1968, only to have conflict and dissent drive the group members apart. Ringo Starr quit the band for a brief time, leaving Paul McCartney to perform drums on some of the album's songs.Disc 101 - Back In The USSR02 - Dear Prudence03 - Glass Onion04 - Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da05 - Wild Honey Pie06 - The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill07 - While My Guitar Gently Weeps08 - Happiness Is A Warm Gun09 - Martha My Dear10 - I'm So Tired11 - Blackbird12 - Piggies13 - Rocky Raccoon14 - Don't Pass Me By15 - Why Don't We Do It In The Road16 - I Will17 - JuliaDisc 201 - Birthday02 - Yer Blues03 - Mother Nature's Son04 - Everybody's Got Something To Hide05 - Sexy Sadie06 - Helter Skelter07 - Long Long Long08 - Revolution 109 - Honey Pie10 - Savoy Truffle11 - Cry Baby Cry12 - Revolution 913 - Good NightLINK
