The Beatles - 1969 - Yellow Submarine Yellow Submarine is the tenth album by The Beatles in the United Kingdom, released on Apple Records. It was issued as the soundtrack to the film of the same name, which premiered in Great Britain seven months prior to the album's release. Only one side of the album contains songs performed by the Beatles; of the six, four were previously unissued. "Yellow Submarine" had been simultaneously issued in 1966 as a single and on the album Revolver, and "All You Need Is Love" had been issued as a single in the summer of 1967. The second side features the symphonic film score composed by George Martin, in versions recorded specifically for the album. "All You Need Is Love" appeared in either mono or rechanneled stereo, ('fake stereo') on the US LP Magical Mystery Tour. It debuted in a true stereo mix on LP for this album. American cassette and 8-track tape versions featured "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" as an extra song on side two.01 - Yellow Submarine02 - Only A Northern Song03 - All Together Now04 - Hey Bulldog05 - It's All Too Much06 - All You Need Is Love07 - Pepperland08 - Sea of Time09 - Sea of Holes10 - Sea of Monsters11 - March of the Meanies12 - Pepperland Laid Waste13 - Yellow Submarine In PepperlandLINK The Beatles - 1969 - The Alternate Yellow Submarine Alternate mono & stereo mixes not released.01 - Yellow Submarine02 - Hey Bulldog03 - Eleanor Rigby04 - Love You To05 - All Together Now06 - Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds07 - Think For Yourself08 - Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club B09 - With A Little Help From My Friend10 - Baby You're A Rich Man11 - Only A Northern Song12 - All You Need Is Love13 - When I'm Sixty Four14 - Nowhere Man15 - It's All Too Much16 - Hey Bulldog17 - All You Need Is Love18 - When I'm Sixty Four19 - Nowhere Man20 - It's All Too Much21 - She Can Talk To Me #122 - She Can Talk To Me #2LINK

Hey Jude (original title: The Beatles Again) is a 1970 collection of non-album Beatles singles and B-sides, as well as "I Should Have Known Better" and "Can't Buy Me Love", two singles released by Capitol Records whose only previous American album appearance had been on the A Hard Day's Night soundtrack album which had been released by United Artists Records. The compilation was released in many countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, Spain, Germany, France, Greece, Japan, Mexico and most of South America. It was also available to other countries as an "export" from Britain but was not at first issued in Britain, although it was a popular import to the UK. Because of its popularity worldwide, Parlophone released Hey Jude in Britain on 11 May 1979.01 - Can't Buy Me Love02 - I Should Have Known Better03 - Paperback Writer04 - Rain05 - Lady Madonna06 - Revolution07 - Hey Jude08 - Old Brown Shoe09 - Don't Let Me Down10 - The Ballad Of John And YokoLINK

The Beatles - 1969 - Abbey Road Abbey Road is the eleventh studio album by The Beatles. Though Let It Be was the last album released before The Beatles' dissolution in 1970, work on Abbey Road began in April 1969, making it the final album recorded by the band. Abbey Road was released on 26 September 1969 in the United Kingdom, and 1 October 1969 in the United States. It was produced and orchestrated by George Martin for Apple Records. Geoff Emerick was engineer, Alan Parsons was assistant engineer, and Tony Banks was tape operator. Abbey Road is regarded as one of The Beatles' most tightly constructed albums, although the band was barely operating as a functioning unit at the time. Rolling Stone magazine named it the 14th greatest album of all time.01 - Come Together02 - Something03 - Maxwell Silver Hammer04 - Oh! By 1969 the Beatles were tired, very tired. Also they were not exactly getting along. But 1969 yielded some of their most interesting music. This album shows us the end of the road for the Fab Four, who had long since given up the mop-top image. By 1969,the Beatles were fragmenting severely, but the music is what kept them together. Some of the things to check out on this album are "The Long Medley" Parts 1 & 2, which are from UNCUT & UNEDITED EMI Mastertapes. This is the original medley featured on side two of Abbey Road with "Her Majesty" where it belongs. There's also the Trident Studios Acetate of "I Want You" from 2-22-1969, with Paul handling the lead vocals on this Lennon song!. Also, check out the takes of "I Me Mine" from January.3,1970 and "Let It Be" from January.4,1970, both sessions with only Paul,George & Ringo together in the studio. John did not attend. George even mentions,"Dave Dee is no longer with us". Plus,Ringo by himself doing an overdub session on April.1,1970 for "The Long & Winding Road".01 - Come Together (Take 1)02 - I Want You (Trident Acetate) (2-22-69)03 - I Need You (Trident Acetate) (2-22-69)04 - Oh Darling (Early Version)05 - Maxwells Silver Hammer (Alt Stereo Mix)06 - Octopus's Garden (Early Stereo Mix)07 - You Never Give Me Your Money (Unreleased Take)08 - The Long Medley (Part 1) (7-30-69) (Emi Tape Reel)09 - The Long Medley (Part 2) (7-30-69) (Emi Tape Reel)10 - Her Majesty (Take 3) (Mono) (7-2-69)11 - Kmet Los Angeles Radio (January 1970)12 - I Me Mine (Take 1 1-3-70)13 - I Me Mine (Mix Of Take 2 1-3-1970)14 - I Me Mine (Acetate 1-3-1970)15 - I Me Mine (Take 15) (1-3-70)16 - Let It Be (Acetate 1-4-1970)17 - Long & Winding Road (Overdub Session 4-1-70)LINK

The Reeperbahn is a street in Hamburg's St. Pauli district, one of the two centres of Hamburg's nightlife and also the city's red-light district. In the early 1960s, The Beatles (who had not yet become world-famous) played in several clubs around the Reeperbahn, including the Star-Club, Kaiserkeller, Top Ten and Indra. Stories about the band's residencies, onstage and offstage antics are legendary; some stories are true (on a dare, John Lennon played a song set in his underwear, while George Harrison replied by playing a later set with a toilet seat around his neck), others inflated (the band urinating in an alley as nuns walked past was told rather differently later). A fellow musician, Ted "Kingsize" Taylor, made a crude tape recording of their last New Year's Eve show, at the Star-Club in December 1962; a cleaned-up version of the tape was later released as an album, later characterized by Harrison as "Awful." Famously John Lennon is quoted: "I might have been born in Liverpool - but I grew up in Hamburg".In memory of this time a Beatles-Platz was built at the cross of Reeperbahn and Große Freiheit.

A Toot and a Snore in '74 is a rare bootleg album of the final recording session in which John Lennon and Paul McCartney played together, which gained wider prominence when McCartney made reference to the session in a 1997 interview. Lennon did the same in a 1975 interview. The story is corroborated by biographies such as Christopher Sandford's 2006 McCartney.[1] Also present, though possibly not playing, at the star-studded session were Ringo Starr, Keith Moon, and Klaus Voorman. Lennon was in his "lost weekend", kicked out of the house by Yoko for a year; thus he was with his girlfriend May Pang. Sandford paints the scene very vividly, as the room froze when Paul walked in, and remained perfectly silent until John said, "Valiant Paul McCartney, I presume?" Paul responded: "Sir Jasper Lennon [a character John played during an early TV appearance skit], I presume?" Paul extended a hand, John shook it, and the mood was pleasant but subdued, cordial but not especially warm (at least initially). Paul may (says Sandford) have encouraged John to repair his marriage with Yoko, possibly at Yoko's request.01 - A Toot And A Snore02 - Bluesy Jam Session03 - Studio Talk04 - Lucille05 - Nightmares06 - Stand By Me07 - Stand By Me II08 - Stand By Me III09 - Cupid - Take This HammerLINK

Live at the BBC is a 1994 compilation album featuring performances by The Beatles that were originally broadcast on various BBC Light Programme radio shows from 1963 through 1965. The monaural album, available in multiple formats but most commonly as a two-CD set, consists of 56 songs and 13 tracks of dialogue; 30 of the songs had never been issued previously by The Beatles. It was the first official release by The Beatles of previously unissued performances since The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl in 1977, and the first containing previously unreleased songs since Let It Be in 1970. Although the songs were recorded ahead of broadcast, allowing for retakes and occasional overdubbing, they are essentially "live in studio" performances. Most of the songs are cover versions of material from the late 1950s and early 1960s, reflecting the stage set they developed before Beatlemania. Before the album's release, comprehensive collections of The Beatles' BBC performances had become available on bootlegs.Disc 101 Beatle Greetings [Speech]02 From Us to You 03 Riding on a Bus [Speech]04 I Got a Woman 05 Too Much Monkey Business 06 Keep Your Hands off My Baby 07 I'll Be on My Way 08 Young Blood 09 A Shot of Rhythm and Blues 10 Sure to Fall (In Love With You) 11 Some Other Guy 12 Thank You Girl13 Sha la la la La! The idea of re-doing some of Lennon's old songs apparently was inspired by former Beatles road manager Neil Aspinall and Harrison, who first requested some old demos from Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono. Then, in January 1994, McCartney came to New York City for Lennon's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. While there, he received at least four songs from Ono. According to Aspinall, it was "two cassettes" which "might have been five or six tracks." The remaining three band members focused their attention on four songs: "Free as a Bird", "Real Love", "Grow Old With Me", and "Now and Then". Of these, they liked "Free as a Bird" the most, and worked hard on it. McCartney said, "Ringo was very up for it, George was very up for it, I was very up for it." Eventually the song saw release as the first Beatles single since 1970. The remaining Beatles then turned their attention to "Real Love", a very hard work due to deficiencies of sound and speed in the original tape. This EP was released in 1996, including previously unreleased alternate mixes of Yellow Submarine and Here There And Everywhere and with Free As A Bird as a bonus track.01 - Real Love02 - Baby's In Black03 - Yellow Submarine04 - Here There And Everywhere05 - Free As A Bird (bonus)LINK
