 New York City, August 28th and 29th, 1964. The Beatles arrived at the Delmonico Hotel at 3 AM. On the way into the hotel, Ringo's St Christopher precious medaillon was promptly stolen. Throughout the day, thousands of fans stood outside, waiting for any sign of a Beatle to appear in a window. WABC AM, broadcasting fron a suite in the hotel, kept the crowd excited, awaiting the return of the medal. Not to be scooped, WINS AM managed a phone call with Paul, while WMCA AM caught up with Ringo and aired reports from Forest Hills Tennis Stadium. This collection of two frantic days in August also includes material from visiting stations WFUN AM (Miami) and WDRC AM (Hartford). Interviews album.

Beatles for Sale is The Beatles' fourth album, released in late 1964 and produced by George Martin for Parlophone. The album marked a minor turning point in the evolution of Lennon and McCartney as lyricists, John Lennon particularly now showing interest in composing songs of a more autobiographical nature. "I'm a Loser" shows Lennon for the first time seemingly coming under the influence of Bob Dylan, whom he met for the first time in New York while on tour, on 28 August 1964. The album hit the UK number one spot and retained that position for eleven of the 46 weeks that it spent in the Top Twenty. Again Beatles For Sale did not surface as a regular album in the US until 1987. In its place was "Beatles ‘65” which featured eight songs from Beatles For Sale, plus the A and B-side of ‘I Feel Fine’ and ‘I’ll Be Back’ from the UK ‘s ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ album. A Hard Day's Night is the third studio album by The Beatles, released on 10 July 1964 as the soundtrack to their film A Hard Day's Night. The American version of the album was released on 26 June 1964 by United Artists Records with a different track listing. It was eventually replaced by the original UK version with its first release on CD and LP re-release, 26 February 1987. While showcasing the development of the band's songwriting talents, the album sticks to the basic rock and roll instrumentation and song format. The album contains some of their most famous songs, including the title track and its distinct, instantly recognizable opening chord; and "Can't Buy Me Love", both were transatlantic number one singles for the band. The album and film are said to portray the classic image of the Beatles, as it was released at the height of Beatlemania. The title of the album was the accidental creation of drummer Ringo Starr. In 2000, Q placed A Hard Day's Night at number five in its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever. It was released in November 1963 on Parlophone, and was recorded four months after the band's debut Please Please Me.
