Bob Dylan - 1966 - Blonde On Blonde

Bob Dylan (Robert Allen Zimmerman) is an American singer-songwriter and musician. He has been a major figure in popular music for five decades. While Dylan and the Hawks met increasingly receptive audiences on the 1966 tour, their studio efforts floundered. Producer Bob Johnston persuaded Dylan to record in Nashville in February 1966, and surrounded him with a cadre of top-notch session men. At Dylan's insistence, Robertson and Kooper came down from New York City to play on the sessions. The Nashville sessions produced the double-album Blonde on Blonde, featuring what Dylan later called "that thin wild mercury sound". Al Kooper  described the album as "taking two cultures and smashing them together with a huge explosion": the musical world of Nashville and the world of the "quintessential New York hipster" Bob Dylan.
