2:09 AM Alexis Korner - 1972 - Bootleg Him! |

Alexis Korner was a pioneering blues musician and broadcaster who has sometimes been referred to as "the Founding Father of British Blues". A major influence on the sound of the British music scene in the 1960s, Korner was instrumental in bringing together various English blues musicians. Alexis Andrew Nicholas Koerner was born in Paris to an Austrian father and Greek mother, and spent his childhood in France, Switzerland, and North Africa. He arrived in London in 1940 at the start of the Second World War. One memory of his youth was listening to a record by black pianist Jimmy Yancey during a German air raid. He said, "From then on all I wanted to do was play the blues." Korner's Bootleg Him! compiles material from roughly the first decade of the artist's career, ranging from the early 1960s through the early 1970s.01 - She Fooled Me02 - I'm A Hoochie Coochie Man03 - Yellow Dog Blues04 - I Wonder Who05 - Dee06 - Oh Lord, Don' Let Them Drop That Atomic Bomb On Me07 - Rockin'08 - Honesty09 - I Got A Woman10 - Mighty-Mighty Spade & Whitey11 - Corinna Corinna12 - Operator (Feat.
