Alexis Korner was a pioneering blues musician and broadcaster who has sometimes been referred to as "the Founding Father of British Blues". A major influence on the sound of the British music scene in the 1960s, Korner was instrumental in bringing together various English blues musicians. Alexis Andrew Nicholas Koerner was born in Paris to an Austrian father and Greek mother, and spent his childhood in France, Switzerland, and North Africa. He arrived in London in 1940 at the start of the Second World War. One memory of his youth was listening to a record by black pianist Jimmy Yancey during a German air raid. He said, "From then on all I wanted to do was play the blues." Korner's Bootleg Him! compiles material from roughly the first decade of the artist's career, ranging from the early 1960s through the early 1970s. 01 - She Fooled Me 02 - I'm A Hoochie Coochie Man 03 - Yellow Dog Blues 04 - I Wonder Who 05 - Dee 06 - Oh Lord, Don' Let Them Drop That Atomic Bomb On Me 07 - Rockin' 08 - Honesty 09 - I Got A Woman 10 - Mighty-Mighty Spade & Whitey 11 - Corinna Corinna 12 - Operator (Feat.
