Bee Gees' 1st is -- despite the title -- the third studio album by The Bee Gees. It was, however, their first album to be released internationally, as their first two LPs were only avaialble in Australia and New Zealand. Released in July 1967, Bee Gees' 1st was also the group's debut album for the UK Polydor label, and for the US Atco label. Reflecting the group's early style, Bee Gees' 1st was a psychedelic rock album. The album cover was designed by Klaus Voormann who had previously done the cover for Revolver by the Beatles.01 - Turn Of The Century02 - Holiday03 - Red Chair, Fade Away04 - One Minute Woman05 - In My Own Time06 - Every Christian Lion Hearted Man Will Show You07 - Craise Finton Kirk Royal Academy Of Arts08 - New York Mining Disaster 194109 - Cucumber Castle10 - To Love Somebody11 - I Close My Eyes12 - I Can't See Nobody13 - Please Read Me14 - Close Another DoorLINK

The Bee Gees Sing and Play 14 Barry Gibb Songs is the Bee Gees' debut LP (1967's Bee Gees' 1st was the international debut album), released under the artist title "Barry Gibb & the Bee Gee's". It was released in November 1965 on the Australian Leedon label. It is basically a compilation of most of the Gibb brothers' singles that had been released over the previous three years (only in Australia), which accounts for the many different styles of music on it. Earlier tracks like "Peace of Mind" "Claustrophobia", and "Could It Be" are in the Merseybeat vein that was popular throughout 1964, while later singles like "Follow the Wind" and "And the Children Laughing" reflect the more folky sounds of the summer of 1965. Of the three new tracks that were recorded specifically for the album, "To Be or Not To Be" was probably the biggest departure, being a blues-based hard rocker.01 - I Was A Lover A Leader Of Men02 - I Don't Think It's Funny03 - How Love Was True04 - To Be Or Not To Be05 - Timber06 - Claustrophobia07 - Could It Be08 - And The Children Laughing09 - Wine And Women10 - Don't say goodbye11 - Peace Of Mind12 - Take Hold Of That Star13 - You Wouldn't Know14 - Follow The WindLINK

The Bee Gees are a musical group that was originally made up of a singing trio of brothers — Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. The trio were successful for most of their forty years of recording music, but they had two distinct periods of exceptional success: as a harmonic "soft rock" act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and as the foremost stars of the disco music era in the late 1970s.
