Jethro Tull are a British rock group formed in 1967. Their music is characterised by the lyrics, vocals and flute playing of Ian Anderson, who has led the band since its founding, and the guitar work of Martin Barre, who has been with the band since 1969. Initially playing blues rock with an experimental flavour, they have also incorporated elements of classical music, folk music, jazz and art rock into their music. One of the world's best-selling music artists, the band has sold more than 60 million albums worldwide in a career that has spanned five decades. The Jethro Tull Christmas Album is the 21st studio album released by Jethro Tull, on September 30, 2003. The songs are a mix of new material, re-recordings of Tull's own suitably-themed material and arrangements of traditional Christmas music. In 2009, the live album Christmas at St Bride, recorded Live at St Bride's Church was included with the original album on CD.

Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson are a husband and wife songwriting/production team and recording artists. They met at Harlem's White Rock Baptist Church in 1963. After having recorded unsuccessfully as a duo, they joined aspiring solo artist and former member of the Ikettes, Josie Jo Armstead, at the Scepter/Wand label where their compositions were recorded by Ronnie Milsap ("Never Had It So Good"), Maxine Brown ("One Step At A Time"), as well as the Shirelles and Chuck Jackson. Another of the trio's songs "Let's Go Get Stoned" gave Ray Charles a number one U.S. R&B hit in 1966. That same year Ashford & Simpson joined Motown where their best-known songs included "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", "You're All I Need To Get By", "Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing", and "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)". As performers, Ashford and Simpson's best-known song is "Solid" (1984 US and 1985 UK). The duo was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2002.

James Patrick "Jimmy" Page, OBE is an English guitarist, songwriter, and record producer. He began his career as a studio session guitarist in London and was subsequently a member of The Yardbirds from 1966 to 1968, after which he founded the English rock band Led Zeppelin. Page is described by Allmusic as "unquestionably one of the all-time most influential, important, and versatile guitarists and songwriters in rock history", and by Rolling Stone as "the pontiff of power riffing & probably the most digitally sampled artist in pop today after James Brown." In 2010, Jimmy Page was ranked #2 in Gibson's list of "Top 50 Guitarists of All Time" and, in 2007, #4 on Classic Rock Magazine's "100 Wildest Guitar Heroes". Page was ranked ninth in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" in 2003. He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice; once as a member of The Yardbirds (1992), and once as a member of Led Zeppelin (1995). Outrider is an album  released by Geffen Records on 19 June 1988. It is his first (and to date, only) genuine solo album, and the first time since 1969 he recorded with a record label other than Atlantic Records/Swan Song Records. It was recorded at The Sol, Page's personal studio. Robert Plant guests on one track, "The Only One", while John Bonham's son Jason drums with Page for the first time on record.

Angel is a glam rock and heavy metal band from Washington, D.C., formed in the mid-70s by Punky Meadows and Mickie Jones. It was signed to Casablanca Records, and had the image of dressing in white. Angel was discovered by KISS bass player Gene Simmons performing at a nightclub and was signed to KISS' record label Casablanca. Angel's image of dressing in all white was a deliberate contrast to Kiss, which wore black. Angel sported an androgynous image and elaborate stage sets. It was slammed by rock critics, and Frank Zappa ridiculed the all-male band’s female appearance in the song "Punky’s Whips.” Angel never achieved mass commercial success but acquired a following as a cult band. Sinful is the fifth album by the rock band Angel. It was the band's most pop-oriented album. The album was originally titled Bad Publicity, and a few copies of the album with that title and a different album cover were sold before being replaced. The album went to #159 on the Pop Album Charts in 1979.
